I think at one point I may have spoken against the Hackintosh, I don’t remember. I may have only thrown in my 2 cents to say that these did in fact break the EULA that we all agree too (but never read). What in the fugg is a Hackintosh you ask?
I proof-read the Wikipedia entry and it looks accurate, “the use of Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hackintosh)
I have owned, and loved 3 Macs in my 9 years that I have been happy with my computing. The next logical step is to experiment with new hardware configurations without breaking the bank and going to a Mac Pro. A Hackintosh will allow me to plug in some hot hardware and set myself up with a machine suitable for running World of Warcraft without having to turn down the video rendering. I don’t do much gaming, but I do like a little WoW with my winter when I’m not ice fishing or shovelling snow. Those sexy female Night elves ain’t ever looked so hot… “What brings you here…”… Giggity!
I hope to start my little project, and blog my progress some time at the end of August / mid-September.
I will be selling my early-2009 Mac Mini in due time for $350 firm. I will only be selling the Mac (and Snow Leopard operating system); you will need a monitor, mouse, keyboard. Any usb keyboard or mouse will work as will any newer monitor (with the correct cable). Please leave your interest in the comment section or email me directly.
